FAQs

Prime Concrete Coatings

  • What is the difference between epoxy and polyurea flooring?

Epoxy cures into a hard, glass-like finish that's prone to cracking and delamination as concrete shifts or settles over time. Polyurea remains flexible after it cures, which allows it to expand and contract along with the concrete's natural movements. This flexibility enables polyurea to maintain a superior, more durable bond to the concrete surface, making it a better option for garage floor coatings than traditional epoxy systems.
  • What is the average cost of a concrete coating?

Concrete coating costs vary widely depending on your project's size and complexity. Several factors influence the final price, including the extent of surface preparation needed, the type of coating selected, total square footage, and specific site conditions. For garage floor coatings or other applications, we offer complimentary estimates after assessing your particular project to provide accurate, customized pricing.
  • How do I maintain my concrete coating?

No special maintenance is needed. Simple soap and water are all you'll need, which makes garage floor coatings one of the simplest surfaces to maintain.
  • How far will you travel?

Prime Concrete Coatings delivers professional garage floor coating services throughout the Tri-State area and surrounding regions. If you're not certain whether we service your area, we encourage you to contact us. We're happy to review your project details and determine how we can assist you.
  • Do you offer financing?

Yes, we provide financing options through Enhancify to help make your garage floor coating project more accessible and budget-friendly.
  • Can your products be applied to indoor and outdoor spaces?

Yes, our coating systems are suitable for both interior and exterior applications. We choose the right coating solution for your particular environment—whether that's a garage floor coating, basement floor, outdoor patio, or commercial facility—to ensure the best performance and longevity for each location's distinct requirements.
  • Can you use your product on exposed aggregate?

We don't install our garage floor coating systems directly on exposed aggregate surfaces since they need a smooth base for proper bonding. That said, we can pressure wash and seal exposed aggregate to clean and safeguard it while preserving its original texture and look.
  • Do you require a down payment/deposit for jobs?

Yes, we request a 25% deposit to reserve your project on our calendar, whether it's for a garage floor coating or another service we provide.
  • What do I do with my stuff while the job is being completed?

We recognize you'll need a place to keep your items during your garage floor coating installation. We provide a 24-foot enclosed trailer that can be brought to your property before we start work, offering you protected storage throughout the project. A deposit may be necessary based on your location. Please reach out to discuss availability, scheduling, and pricing for this option.
